I’m one of those extremely rare Venice natives–one of the last babies born at Venice Memorial Hospital and raised five minutes from the Gulf. Like most Venice kids, I grew up swimming across the Intercoastal, collecting shark’s teeth at Caspersen’s, fishing at the Jettys, and (of course) jumping off Sharky’s pier.
After graduating from Venice High School, as a newly licensed cosmetologist, I dedicated the first ten years of my career to serving the aging population of Venice with the respect and consideration they had a difficult time finding elsewhere. As an adult, I married and moved with my husband to Tampa, leaving a void in the professional nail care market. Despite the proliferation of nail salons that have popped up all over town, nobody has filled that void last six years. Instead, Venetians have nearly a dozen cheap, dirty discount salons to choose from, but nowhere that is safe, affordable, and designed exclusively to serve their unique needs.
This summer, I’m bringing professional, sanitary nail care back to Venice, because you deserve better.
